Did You Know This....

Did You Know....

Dr. Seuss wrote “Green Eggs and Ham”, because of a dare his publisher Bennet Cerf made. Bennet Cerf bet Dr. Seuss $50 that he could not write a children’s story using ONLY 50 words. 49 of which were one syllable words.
And that's just what he did. The words included:


a am and anywhere are
be boat box car could dark do eat eggs fox
goat good green ham here
house I if in let
like may me mouse not
on or rain Sam say
see so thank that the
them there they train tree
try will with would you


Go ahead and count them...I did. This was one amazing author!
